- Commencing Wednesday, 10/14 Leafs will play 1 game in ten days. Even training camp had a more demanding schedule. Leafs will be challenged to stay sharp before going on a road trip that sees them play 5 games over just 8 days in 3 time zones.

- Faster than you can say, "It can't get worse in Phoenix," it did. A whiteout promo and drastically reduced ticket prices filled the Jobing.com Arena where the 'Yotes were shutout, 2-0 in their home opener.

- Daniel Sedin will miss at least Sunday's game with a bruised heel. Now would be a good time for a few bus riders to step up.

- In San Jose, Joe Thornton & Philip Marleau are playing with a won't be denied passion. It won't mean a thing if Sharks aren't playing in June.

- How 'bout those hapless, guaranteed to finish last Avs? Amazing what a goalie and getting some guys healthy can do for ya.

- After laying an egg in a 6-3 opening season loss, L.A. Kings have been impressive beating San Jose 6-4, Minnesota 6-3 and St. Louis 2-1.

- Amazing the NY Islanders have not been defeated in regulation time. Good things can happen when a young team doesn't know it sucks. Buffalo 7
Dallas are the only other undefeated in RT teams.

- Sticking with the Sabers they have only 4 GF and 3GA after 3 games. Could be a good under wager, no?

- Washington & San Jose are averaging 5 GF per game.

Wow, I can't believe that has never gotten out before. I would imagine if that had gone down then at some point it would have killed the Oilers. During their tough times in the '90s about the only reason most people wanted to see them stay alive was because of the tradition the team had.

I never did care for Molson. Now I have one more reason to dislike them!

The possibility of this actually happening just boggles the mind. The Oilers teams of the 80's playing in Toronto? I don't know how to compute this.

But somehow I have to think that this theory was conceived one night at the bar after far too many JD's. Just seems too bizarre to be true. Teams trading cities? Maybe in the Ziegler era... maybe.. but even then.. crazy.
