Hey Canada, an American may tell you an interesting story about our respective Thanksgivings occurring five weeks apart.
The Pilgrims first sighted land in Labrador. Thrilled they got out of the boat gave thanks, and spent the night. Not so thrilled they froze their buns off they jumped back on the boat and sailed south to Plymouth Rock. In those days it took about 5 weeks to sail from Labrador to Plymouth Rock.
So if you hear that from an American, just ask if he or she has ever been to Amherstburg ;)
