Yotes 3-1 over Bruins in the second. I bet Tippet has something to do with it.

Man 4-1....where's Gretzky, oh yeah he's not coaching anymore, TIPPET IS!

Phoenix is really pushing hard, but it is a long season. Bruins should start feeling some concerns, especially with Thomas, but no reason to panic either.

Tippet's a real coach..hehe
phoenix actually has a lot more talent than people give them credit for. still not sure if they'll make the playoffs, but i like what they're doing, and also like what's happening in columbus. Avs will fall back unless Andersson really does turn out to be a miracle or have a Tim Thomas like season. i also think St. louis is a decent team. Dallas will fall - i have no faith in Turco.
but how much longer are teams like SJ, Van, Ana, and Det gonna hang out so low in the standings? that's 4 spots taken right there.

Tippet is a real coach, How come Gretzky could never do it? I know it's early in the season but that is why they play the games. I like Van, San and ANA but out of them Anaheim might be having the problem especially after being blanked 5-0 by the Blues.
Dallas is a question mark and it's more about Crawford than Turco although he always has been stuck with the reason for Dallas not succeeding. Auld brings some hope and the Stars already have the talent. Slightly disagreeing but just trying to add to the discussion.

I seem to recall that the Yotes last year had a decent start as well and the reporters were all gushing over how Gretzky may have turned it around. Way to early to be making this post, but I can understand your reasoning in that you have called your shot before the season started and it looks like you may be right up until this point. I still think it is to early to tell, to early to make comment on, and to early to add some salt to it.....But then again if it makes you happy feel free.

I don't think it deserved a thread of its, own, but since this is Bruins related....
The WIld picked up Kobasew from the Bruins for a 2nd rounder, the rights to a prospect (Fallstrom) and Craig Weller.
Just want to know why? Great move by the Wild, not sure why Boston would do it.

i always thought tippet got a bit of a raw deal in Dallas. with the injuries to his players last season, and turco's poor positioning, he had no hope.
with Crow in town, i think Dallas is at least more interesting to watch, but I question their sustainability long term. without a dominant Zubov, they've no longer got the kind of transition defenceman that always made them somewhat dangerous to play against. i guess we'll see. as for Auld, not sure what to think of him - at times he looks capable, at other times he comes across as nothing more than an overachieving backup? hard to say. one good year just doesnt make a star goalie. we're about to find out if Thomas is for real after last year - B's are struggling a bit.
interesting your view about Anaheim - i still think they've got too much up front - unless Selanne truly has slowed down. we all knew they would miss pronger. i still think they'll make the playoffs - getzlaf, perry and ryan are awesome.

i guess we have to ask Jeff? =0)
must be making room for a move. with the picks and whatever from the kessel trade, Bruins have options. i bet they will move savard at some point and go after kovalchuk if possible. ok, maybe we're teasin bruins' fans here. =0)
